The Bridging The Ice documentary is made by two members of the Watkins family, Nic and Clarissa Watkins are the grandchildren of Gino’s younger brother Tony.

They grew up surrounded by stories, photos and paintings of Gino so as well as a strong desire to tell his story, this is a truly personal project for them.

Nic started his film career as a cameraman and editor on sports documentaries, with a speciality in extreme skiing. His work now focuses on television with shows for Netflix and Amazon as well as advertising campaigns for the Super Bowl.

In his free time he pursues his passion for outdoor adventure, particularly freeride skiing.

Clarissa lives in London and travels frequently for work and pleasure. She competes in international obstacle course races regularly, and in the absence of access to snowy mountains, has taken up wakeboarding.

Clarissa’s career in finance for the past 15 years has focused around asset raising for a wide variety of parties including large institutions, startups, private equity and individual entrepreneurs. Clarissa has guided and structured companies corporate partnerships, helping them secure capital and sponsorships to achieve their business goals.
